The Rotary Club of Pasadena Foundation is a tax-exempt, charitable corporation; separate from, but under the control of, the Club. It has its own Board of Directors with five members: the current President of the Club and four other members approved by the Club’s Board of Directors. The Foundation directors each serve four-year terms, except for the Club President.
The purpose of the Foundation is to allow members of the Club and the public to make tax-deductible donations, which are conservatively managed and then used to fund grants as directed by the Club’s Board. These grants include the Community Grants Program and Teachers of Excellence Program. The Community Grants Program includes anywhere from 20 to 35 different 501(c)3 organizations through out the Pasadena community. See our web site for a list of history of giving from the Pasadena Rotary Foundation.
